Terms of Service

These terms apply when you browse ShopitCart, create an account, buy from stores on the marketplace, use the ShopitCart wallet, pay suppliers through RMB Buying, use the repackaging service, or sell as a vendor. By using ShopitCart you agree to them.

Some services have additional terms that also apply: the Wallet & RMB Payments Terms, the Repackaging Service Terms, the Seller Terms, the Refunds & Cancellations Policy, the Shipping & Delivery Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy. If they conflict with these terms, the service-specific terms apply to that service.

• You need an account to buy, use the wallet, pay suppliers or use repackaging. You must give accurate details and keep them up to date.
• You sign up with an email address and a strong password, or with Google. Email accounts must be verified before you can sign in.
• Keep your password and wallet PIN private. You are responsible for activity on your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
• For your security you are signed out after 20 minutes of inactivity, and changing your password signs you out on other devices.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, put other users at risk, or are used for fraud.

Products on ShopitCart are listed by ShopitCart and by independent stores (vendors). The store named on a product is the seller of that product. ShopitCart runs the platform, takes payment and supports you if something goes wrong.

• Prices are shown in Ghana cedis (GHS). At checkout we add tax at 15% of the item subtotal and a delivery fee based on the route from each store to your town.
• If your cart contains items from more than one store, checkout creates a separate order for each store.
• An order is placed when checkout confirms it and gives you an order number. Stores may cancel an order before it ships, for example if an item is unavailable; if you paid from your wallet, the amount is returned to your wallet automatically.
• Product descriptions, photos and specifications are provided by the seller. Contact us if an item is not as described.

Orders are paid from your ShopitCart wallet and confirmed with your wallet PIN. Card and mobile money payments will be offered once our payment partners are live; until then they are not accepted. We will update these terms when that changes.

RMB Buying lets you pay suppliers in China from your cedi wallet. Repackaging lets you send parcels to our warehouse in China so we can combine and forward them. These services are covered by their own terms, linked below.

You can review products you have received. Reviews must be honest and about the product. You keep ownership of what you post but give ShopitCart permission to display it on the platform. We may remove content that breaks the Acceptable Use Policy.

We work to keep ShopitCart available, accurate and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, ShopitCart is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

We may update these terms as ShopitCart changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you about significant changes before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
